Fantastic. I have been trying for about 8 hours to fix this drama and I followed your site and presto it worked first time.
I just had to change admin to the actual user name i.e. mary (not real name).
I belive my problem was caused by a corrupt email as this problem has never been encountered before.

Your solution to fix the the outlook.pst file were good. The only difference I found was in the dialog windows that are in your instructions. Your instructions only listed as far as Windows 7 and I am running Windows 10. However I was able to find the hidden outlook.pst file and the repair tool worked a little bit different but fixed the problem. Maybe you need to update your instructions to include Windows 10. Thanks for your help.

This has not worked for me. When I attempt to do it again, there is no C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\%OfficeVersion%\SCANPST.EXE, no SCANPST.EXE file showing in my office version. Any suggestions please? Thanks
April 18, 2020 @ 9:44 am
The "scanpst.exe" is there, in another folder probably. Perform a SEARCH for the "SCANPST.EXE" to locate it.
May 21, 2021 @ 11:15 am
Step 2 – 2 isn't working.
Performed a search for the "SCANPST.EXE" or "SCANPST" and haven't found anything.
Waiting for your response at the attached e-mail.
Thank you

What Office version you own? Take a look in this article to find out the location of SCANPST.EXE according your Office version: https://www.repairwin.com/how-to-use-scanpst-exe-inbox-repair-tool-to-repair-outlook-pst-data-files/
If you still cannot find the file, repair Office installation.

This worked great! Most 'fixes' I find either don't work or don't apply to my version, etc. Thanks for talking the time to publish this!
