I have the same problem following an automatic upgrade for Windows 10.
At first the problem was the PC logging off immediately after logging on, and then it changed to the screen flashing on and off. This was solved by using msconfig and disabling 2 MS services as suggested in other posts.
Now I get the above problem. However, it only occurs on one user. The main user is okay.
I have done all of the 3 above steps, but they do not solve the problem.

Tony Summers: I think that on of the running applications cause the error. At search box type "event viewer" (without quotes). Then look at Event Viewer logs to find out which application causes the error.
