      ryan: Perform the same steps either for Intel or AMD chipset OR try to install Windows from a DVD installation media.

    Thank you method 1 worked for me I just had to try plugging the USB stick into every port till one finally read it and let me install.

    this isnt strictly a USB 3.0 issue, happens on the 2.0 ports & drives as well, but the "unplug/re-plug" source drive method has always worked for me here

    Thanks, Method 1 worked for me, I have no usb2 ports though, only usb3 .

    Going back to the main setup screen and replugging it into another port helped as using the same port had no effect.
