Fix Bookmarked Star Missing – (Bookmarks, Bookmark Icon, bookmark_star)
Inside Firefox's [Address Bar] find the 3 dots, at the right side of the bar, left-click, on the top [Edit This Bookmark], right-click & select [Add To Address Bar]. If this doesn't work try the other online remedies. I found this one by accident, after I had aleady tried all of the other solutions listed online.
